An Art to Happiness ...

I do not usually post someone else's work - But when I came across this quote I felt the need to share it with all of you ... I did a search online and this is what I found ... The words caught my attention and really made me think ... What brings you bliss? What tells you that everything will be alright? What makes you brave and authentic to push through?

What is it Like to Meet Kathryn Antyr?

What is it like to meet Kathryn Antyr? We first came in contact online when I posted on Kathryn’s True North Arts site. I loved how she had such a positive outlook on life and how she expresses these views through Art. I had an immediate attraction to her playful style of photography, the way she wrote and her inspirational tone. I achieved a liking for her photography and writing, seeing I am also interested in these areas of artistic expression. I also found great pleasure in her Journal of the Heart, where others can find themselves by placing their thoughts down on paper. This has been a solid building block for my creativity and growth. We continued to post realizing we had online blogs to share. This soon led to many posts back and forth between the two of us. After a few months of interacting we decided to meet at a restaurant between our two homes. I have to be honest, I was a bit apprehensive to meet face to face. Boothbay Bliss!

This picture was taken in Boothbay Harbor, Maine - Every time I come across this photo it reminds me of the beautiful, relaxing weekend we had there. Do you have a certain photo or a certain song that brings you back to that time period?

SARK Time!

I have enjoyed SARK's books for quite sometime now - Recently, I started filling this playbook out with long awaited answers - It seems when you are in create mode, the answers just flow ... I highly recommend this book, fun to put your answers down on paper - Somehow they become more real ... Do you have a favorite creative book that you would like to share?

I Heart Illustrations!

Recently, I have been interested in "Collage Mixed Media" projects - A few days ago I created a collage with all the things I "like" such as a camera, flowers, crafting supplies, books etc - This photo shows a collage I started this evening - Some illustrations that recently caught my eye - Even though they seem a bit "Child-Like", I still like the whimsy of animals, objects etc displayed in this cartoon-like way... Is there something you like - Even if it may seem a bit child-like? A certain stuffed animal? A Christmas Special that you just cannot miss? A childhood game that puts a smile on your face when you see a youngster playing it?

In Her Shoes ...

This was a movie I had been wanting to see for quite sometime ... It was made in 2005 with Cameron Diaz and Shirley MacClaine ... I finally watched it yesterday ... I am glad I did ... Then I found this stack of post it notes (picture above) and it all tied into my post for today ... Has there been a movie you have been wanting to catch and just have not been able to?
